The Application.Contents Collection

Introduction

The Application.Contents collection stores all items, which has been added through the application object and script command. With the definition script command it is meant to add the code items to the collection via the asp code. It is important to understand this because a collection can be also filled with the <object> tags. Please refer to the StaticObjects definition for more information.

Example

<%

            ' Initialization

            Application("MyVar1") = "Item1"

            Application("MyVar2") = "Item2"

            Application("MyVar3") = "Item3"

            Application("MyVar4") = "Item4"

            Response.Write "<b>Total Items:" + CStr(Application.Contents.Count) + "</b><br/>"

            For i = 1 to Application.Contents.Count

                        Response.Write CStr(i) + " = " + Application.Contents(i) + "<br/>"

            Next

%>
