The Request Object

Introduction

The Request object can be used to get the information from the client HTTP header and body. It is usually used to retrieve information from a form, query string, session, cookie and any server variables. This object has one method and 6 properties. The below table describes all of them with a short description.

Form

This property is used to retrieve the value from the elements in a form.

QueryString

This property is used to retrieve the values from the query string.

ServerVariables

This property can be used to retrieve values from the environment variables.

TotalBytes

This is a read-only property and can be used to retrieve the total number of bytes, which the client has sent.
