The Request.Form Property

Introduction

The Request.Form property can be used to retrieve the values from a form, which is posted via the POST method. This property is mostly used if you need to process the data entered in a form by a user. Most forums use this property to post new threads or replies.

Example

The following example shows a simple textbox. The value of the textfield is passed via the POST method and retrieved via the Request.Form property.

<%

            if Request.Form("username") <> "" then

                        Response.Write "Welcome " & Request.Form("Username")

            end if

%>

<form method="post">

Username: <input type="textfield" name="username"/>

<input type="submit">

</form>
