The Response.LCID Property
Introduction
The Response.LCID (Local Identifiers) property can be used
to specify how dates, times and currencies are formatted for a specific
location. The local formats are not the same for each location. For example in
Germany the date is formatted DD.MM.YYYY and in USA you use MM.DD.YYYY. In
Germany you use the € currency sign and in USA you use the $ currency sign.
This property only affects the current page and not the complete website. If
you need to set this setting for the complete website use the Session.LCID
property. Here
you can find a list of the Local Identifiers (LCID).
Example
<%
Response.Write
"<b><u>Date/Time/Currency in German
format:</u></b><br/>"
' Set the
the LCID to Germany
Response.LCID
= 1031
' Use the
Format Currency method to print out the currency
' Currency
in Euro/Germany format
Response.Write
FormatCurrency(199)
Response.Write

' Date and
time in Germany format
Response.Write
FormatDateTime(Time, 1)
Response.Write
"<br/><br/><b><u>Date/Time/Currency in USA
format:</u></b><br/>"
' Set the
