The Session Object

Introduction

The Session object can be used to store information about the user or settings, which persists as long as the session exists. A session is always created when a user opens a browser and it is destroyed when the session expires or abandoned. Most websites use sessions to store some user preferences.

Example

<%

' Create some new session variables

            Session("name") = "Sonu Kapoor"

            Session("privilige") = "admin"

            Response.Write "Welcome back:<b> " & Session("name") & "</b><br/>"
