The Session.Abandon Method
Introduction
The Session.Abandon method can be used to remove all objects
in a session object. The Abandon property does not delete any objects till all
scripts are processed on the current asp page. That means if you call Abandon
in the first line of your script and call a session variable in the second
line, then you will still see the value. However if you call the session
variable on a second page, then you wont see any output. The following example
demonstrates this.
Example (session_object_methods_abandon_example.asp)
<%
' Create a
new session
Session("name")
= "Sonu Kapoor"
' Destroy
all objects in the session object
Session.Abandon
' Session
is still available here !!!
Response.Write
"<b>Session is still avaible.</b><br/>"
Response.Write
"Welcome back: " & Session("Name")
%>
Example (session_object_methods_abandon1_example.asp)
<%
' Session
isnt any more available !!!
Response.Write
"<b>Session is not anymore avaible.</b><br/>"
