Riding the Media Wave
With the advent of streaming media, developers can add new, exciting content
to their websites. This session explains how diverse content comprised of text,
audio, and video can be combined to provide a richer user experience and
increase both the benefits to the end user as well as enhance the feedback
provided from the user. This session features two sample applications: one
features a database-driven survey, which incorporates streaming audio or video
on which the survey questions are based; the other is a training video
application that also combines PowerPoint slides and navigational links,
illustrating a technique using markers within longer media clips that can be
used to change the position within the clip programmatically.
