The white-space property (CSS Reference)

Introduction

The white-space property can be used to specify the white-space (blank) in an element.

This is the default value of the white-space property.

pre

The pre value is like the HTML tag <pre>. It renders the output the same as you write in your HTML.

nowrap

The nowrap value is used to continue the text on the same line till a line break or a <br> tag appears.
