Hi, I'm trying to use the Adapter Metadata Wizard in Visual Studio 2005, but am not able to get anything generated. The Wizard closes without any warning and without generating anything. I'm doing the following steps: - Start wizard (Add Generated Items / Add Adapter Metadata) - Select SQL server Name / BizTalkMgmtDb - Specify the DataLink connection string; Test connection succeeded; Next - Target Namespace = http://samplesendport/ - Port Type = Send Port - Gives names to Request Respond port. - Select stored procedure from drop down. - Generate Script -Ok. After this step the problem occurs. When I click Next, the dialog gets frozen for a few seconds and then closes, without any warning and also without generating anything. My stored procedure is simple inserting data into single table having field type of ntext, int. I'm using Visual Studio 2005, BizTalk 2006 and SQL server 2005. Any ideas how to generate schemas, Orchestartion? Does adapter generate any log to check this out? Thanks and Regards

Hello Shreyas, when attempting to create a schema via the stored procedure or update gram try to do it on your local computer instead of connecting to the remote SQL server. Some of the ERP package would not let you connect via the SQL adapter to create schema. But once you have created schema you will be able to use it. Let me know if you need any help on it. Thank you Jay

Are you using XMLAUTO, XMDDATA tag in your select query which is sending the results back . If not use it and then try generating the schema using SQL server wizard.

Shreyas, I ever encountered the same issue as you, but the same develop environment on anohter computer can generate successfully. I do not know why, but I think it might be caused by an environment issue.

Hi, I'm having the same (or similar problem- I can't get to the part where you choose the stored procedure). Did you ever get the problem resolved? Thanks, Jonas
