In my organization, we use the Adapter for databases to access data on Oracle databases. This works fine for my coworkers but when I installed the newer version, new problems occured and noone can help me. "Works on my box". I had to install a newer version because of recommendation from Enabler, since .net framwork 2.0 is installed on the machine. In june 2006 another Top XML user had the exact same problem and posted about it: http://www.topxml.com/forum/m.asp?m=4288&mpage=1&key= but "he" did not receive any reply. The problem is this. Whenever the adapeter tries to access data on the database I get the following error: BTSUtils.Core.EnterpriseInstrumentation.Schema.ErrorMessageEvent { String Message = "An Exception occurred attempting to start an EndPoint. The Uri is 'database://Microsoft .NET Data Provider for Oracle/Persist Security Info=True;Password=xxx;User ID=xxx;Data Source=XXX;/YYY' System.ArgumentException Requested value true was not found." Exception InnerException = { String HelpLink = "" String Message = "" String Source = "" String StackTrace = "" String TargetSite = "" } String ErrorCode = "" Int32 Severity = 0 Int32 ProcessID = 5392 String ProcessName = "C:\Program Files\Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004\BTSNTSvc.exe" String ThreadName = "" ComPlusInfo ComPlus = { String ActivityID = "" String ApplicationID = "" String TransactionID = "" String DirectCaller = "" String OriginalCaller = "" } WindowsSecurityInfo WindowsSecurity = { String CurrentAccountName = "DOM\BizTalkServiceUser" String ProcessAccountName = "BUILTIN\Administrators" } ManagedSecurityInfo ManagedSecurity = { String IdentityName = "" String AuthenticationType = "" Boolean IsAuthenticated = False } String StackTrace = " at BTSUtils.Core.Adapters.EnterpriseInstrumentation.Helper.Error(EventSource EventSource, Exception Exception, String Message) at BTSUtils.Adapters.Databases.Receive.EndPoint.Start() at BTSUtils.Core.Adapters.Receive.Asynchronous.Receiver.AddReceiveEndpoint(String bstrURL, IPropertyBag pConfig, IPropertyBag pBizTalkConfig) at BTSUtils.Core.Adapters.Receive.Asynchronous.Receiver.UpdateEndpointConfig(String bstrURL, IPropertyBag pConfig, IPropertyBag pBizTalkConfig)" String EventSourceInstance = "5be97feb-18bb-4ae5-9777-dea46c700ae2" String EventSourceName = "BizTalk Utilities Adapter for Databases Receiver" Int64 EventSequenceNumber = 7 String EventSchemaVersion = "2.0.171.0" DateTime TimeStamp = 2008-02-22 14:58:06 String AppDomainName = "DefaultDomain" String MachineName = "MYMACHINE" String RootRequestName = "" String RootRequestInstance = "" String RequestInstance = "" String RequestName = "" Int64 RequestSequenceNumber = 0 Int32 EventLogEntryTypeID = 1 } This is a seriuos problem for me and I really need to be able to connect to Oracle databases. Ofcourse I have tried the obvious ones like veryfying user name, password, basic access and so forth. Nothing but love //Mikael Sand Sweden

You should not specify the connection string as part of the Uri, there are other properties for this.
