Hi All, I am currently finished my development and the application is in UAT but i have had the dba's telling that Biztalk seems to be collecting connections excessively and not releasing them. I think this may be somthing to do with my connection pooling and my properties are as follows Connection Properties ConnectionLifetime = 0 DecrPoolSize = 1 IncrPoolSize = 5 MaxPoolSize = 100 MinPoolSize = 1 Pooling = True Can anyone please advise if this is a correct assumption and at what sort of figures i should have these set to as a starting point. Cheers D

Sorry should have mentioned that. I am using ODP.NET 10.2.000 to poll an advanced queue on an oracle 10g instance. Cheers

You can try and reduce the max connections, this is currently set to 100. Does your receive shape fall into a short lived transaction in an orch?

Pieter, Sorry for the late reply..... The receive falls into an orchestration with out any scope and the transaction is set to none (so i think this is a short lived transaction). I also played with the connection pooling and when i reduce the connection pooling the problem occurs faster until the point where i decreased the connections to 1 and the problem would occur after a successful receive. If i restart the biztalk host then this allows biztalk to operate again. One other piece of information that may be helpful is that the Oracle database is off line once a night for maintance tasks and no action is taken with Biztalk for this period. Cheers Damien
