Hi there When I try to install either BizTalk Utilties or BizTalk Utilities Adapter for Databases I get the following error message towards the end of the installation: An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'BTSUtils.Core.Adapters,Version="2.0.172.0",Culture="neutral",PublicKeyToken="774969A50DE1C14C." Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x80070020. I have all the pre-reqs installed and am have a proper licence. Any ideas. Thanks Luciano Barbieri

Thanks, I was able to solve it by following the instuctions (as below) to uninstall the adapter. Thanks, Luciano You get an error similar to the following when uninstalling the adapter: Another application has excl access to the file c:\windows\assembly\gac\btsutils.core.adapters\2.0.170.0__774969a50de1c14c\Biztalk Utilities Trace.log. Please shut down all other applications, then click Retry This is due to the Windows Trace Session Manager Service. You will need to do the following: 1. Run the Windows NT Services Snap-In usually located in StartAll ProgramsAdministrative ToolsServices. 2. Find a Service called Windows Trace Session Manager. 3. Right-Click on the Service and select Properties. 4. Set the Startup Type of the Service to Disabled. 5. Click on OK to apply the changes. 6. Reboot the Server. Note: The reboot is required because the Service will still have a exclusive lock on the file event though the service is stopped.
