Polling with database adapter - 5 April 2007

We are using the adapter to poll an Oracle database every six hours. Unfortunately for us, if the host instance is restarted, we have to wait six hours before the first poll, instead the preferred way of polling first, then waiting 6 hours for the second poll.

Is there anyway to make it poll, then wait, rather than wait, then poll?

Not out of the box currently.

Can you use a service window?
