Ok I am quite new to TopXML and the integration with SAP.
I have installed the adapter for SAP and was trying to connect to our system. But by doing so i got an error message Stating that SAPMSG.INI could not be found.

I really have no clou whatsoever why i get this error message and don't know what to do.

I Googled on SapMsg.ini and i could find it had something to do with the .Net connector from SAP.
But i looked around in the docuemntation of the Adpater and could not find it as a requirement.

Is there anybody out there thta knows why I get this message ?

The ini file is not a requirement. Can you please send us a screenshot of the Port Configuration so that we can have a look?

I guess there is something wrong with the SapCRM definition we use, cause when I test it (via the EIF) I get this message.So it's not really the port but the entire systemdefinition I guess.

What kind of screenshot do you need ?

I had same error message when I tried to use the .NET Connector.  Here is how we resolved this issue.
1.  Make sure sapmsg.ini exists(if not create) and has following content
  [Message Server]
  DEV=SAPDEV
This can change based on your system id.
2.  Make sure in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\services file, an entry for message sevice exists as shown below,

       sapmsDEV         3600/tcp
This can change based on your system id.
3.  When connecting using the .NET Connector proxy generator, use the Logon Groups instead of server logon.
