SAP receive location listening for RFC call - 25 February 2008

Hi there,

We have a receive location configured with the SAP Proxy Transport to listen to a program id on our SAP system.  We currently have archiving set to enabled and a file should be generated to a specific directory when this program is kicked off on our SAP System.

We have been successful on some attempts, however are not succesful in receiving a document most of the time.  W cannot see anything hitting the BizTalk server at all, either in the directory where we expect the file or in HAT as a received message.  The SAP team does have a report that is generated once this RFC call is made so as far as they know it is successful.

We only have 1 connection configured so it is not that we have multiple locations polling

Is there any debugging or known issues with archiving for the SAP Proxy Transport?  Is there any trace files on SAP that we can look at?  We have also configured tracing on the BizTalk server and it doesn't look like anything is coming in based on the trace file.

Any help you can provide would be appreciated.
thanks
Karen

I'd recommend that you start with switching the tracing on, on the receive location.

We are now seeing an error saying "cannot lock transaction" when the rfc is called.  When we Google this error there are a lot of posts that indicate that it may be a bizTalk permissions problem.  Can you tell me if there are specific stored procedures and what the names are installed on the BizTalk databases for the Top XML SAP Proxy transport adapter??

Do the adapters need specific permissions within BizTalk to function??

Do you have any other information about this error "cannot lock transaction" that is being passed back to SAP through the adapter?

thanks
Karen
