Trouble receiving messages from OpenJMS - 3 August 2006

Hi All, I am having trouble receiving messages from an OpenJMS queue with BizTalk (BizTalk Utilities Adapter for XMS Transport). I am using IKVM Java JNDI Provider (INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY = org.exolab.jms.jndi.InitialContextFactory, PROVIDER_URL = tcp://localhost:3035). For the connection I use the IKVM JMS Provider. Everything seems to be OK, BizTalk is started, but the receivelocation does not receive messages from a queue in OpenJMS (not a topic). There is no entry in the eventlog. Obviously, I am doing something wrong, but I am not sure what. Can someone point me into the right direction? Thanks in advance Jasper Defesche

Hi, an update on the issue: It appeared that I cleared the eventlog too soon, hence missing the entries of the adapter. Appearently, it disables the receivelocation and without a refresh in Visual Studio, this event remained unknown to me. So now, after enabling it, the eventlog states again: BTSUtils.Core.EnterpriseInstrumentation.Schema.ErrorMessageEvent { String Message = "An Exception occurred attempting to stop an EndPoint. The Uri is 'xms://IKVM JMS Provider/jms/VGZ_OSI_Drop' javax.jms.JMSException Connection lost" Exception InnerException = { String HelpLink = "" String Message = "" String Source = "" String StackTrace = "" String TargetSite = "" } String ErrorCode = "" Int32 Severity = 0 Int32 ProcessID = 2608 String ProcessName = "C:\Program Files\Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004\BTSNTSvc.exe" String ThreadName = "" ComPlusInfo ComPlus = { String ActivityID = "" String ApplicationID = "" String TransactionID = "" String DirectCaller = "" String OriginalCaller = "" } WindowsSecurityInfo WindowsSecurity = { String CurrentAccountName = "W002984F\biztalkserver" String ProcessAccountName = "W002984F\biztalkserver" } ManagedSecurityInfo ManagedSecurity = { String IdentityName = "" String AuthenticationType = "" Boolean IsAuthenticated = False } String StackTrace = " at BTSUtils.Core.Adapters.EnterpriseInstrumentation.Helper.Error(EventSource EventSource, Exception Exception, String Message) at BTSUtils.Adapters.XMS.Receive.EndPoint.Stop() at BTSUtils.Core.Adapters.Receive.Asynchronous.Receiver.RemoveReceiveEndpoint(String bstrURL)" String EventSourceInstance = "4ae95c90-9295-4947-8b01-b7152c73e215" String EventSourceName = "BizTalk Utilities Adapter for XMS Receiver" Int64 EventSequenceNumber = 52 String EventSchemaVersion = "2.0.171.0" DateTime TimeStamp = 4-8-2006 9:11:02 String AppDomainName = "DefaultDomain" String MachineName = "W002984F" String RootRequestName = "" String RootRequestInstance = "" String RequestInstance = "" String RequestName = "" Int64 RequestSequenceNumber = 0 Int32 EventLogEntryTypeID = 1 } After retrying several times, another (informational) eventlog entry appears: BTSUtils.Core.EnterpriseInstrumentation.Schema.TraceMessageEvent { String Message = "The Receiver has been initialized." Int32 ProcessID = 2428 String ProcessName = "C:\Program Files\Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004\BTSNTSvc.exe" String ThreadName = "" ComPlusInfo ComPlus = <null> WindowsSecurityInfo WindowsSecurity = <null> ManagedSecurityInfo ManagedSecurity = <null> String StackTrace = "" String EventSourceInstance = "8f264b4a-97b9-49bc-9176-a462a1634a77" String EventSourceName = "BizTalk Utilities Adapter for XMS Receiver" Int64 EventSequenceNumber = 1 String EventSchemaVersion = "2.0.171.0" DateTime TimeStamp = 4-8-2006 11:37:47 String AppDomainName = "DefaultDomain" String MachineName = "W002984F" String RootRequestName = "" String RootRequestInstance = "" String RequestInstance = "" String RequestName = "" Int64 RequestSequenceNumber = 0 Int32 EventLogEntryTypeID = 4 } However, no message is received by the adapter. I checked that the receivelocation is enabled this time. Also, I tried to receive messages with the receive/send sample included in the openjms package. This way, the messages are received ok! What could be wrong? regards, Jasper
