Hi There, I'm new to Biztalk (2004). I have created a custom pipeline component and have added it to the disassemble stage within a new pipeline project. The component loads the incoming xml data into the XML DOM and does some work to add some nodes and attributes. I basically want to change an existing map to use this new pipeline instead of the default xml receive pipeline. The default xml receive pipeline was validating the incoming XML data wasn't it? So if I use my new pipeline will I lose the validation? Can I call the validation from my new pipeline? Thanks in advance.

ckentmn, if you open the pipeline (not the component), you see some connected boxes. You will also have a tool box and you can drag what you want into the pipeline stages from the tool box. You can also right-click the each pipeline component you drag in and configure it, for examle with the schema you want to validate against. John D.
