If the receive adapter has not finished processing the current batch of records and the interval fires again, will it attempt to run a second instance at the same time? Or will it wait until the first one has completed ? i.e Do I need to be concerned about concurrency in my stored procedures ... Thanks in advance.

No the Receive Adapter will only fire again once the current batch is submitted to BizTalk Server. If you need the Receive Adapter to not fire until BizTalk has completed processing the records, you can use the Lock Feature on the Receive Adapter. This will lock the Receive Location until you explicitly unlock it by calling a .NET Component provided with the Adapter.
