huntern -> Xselerator Support (Again) (4 September 2008)

OK so I've updgraded my PC. I need to migrate my version of Xselerator. I've emailed support@marrowsoft.com but it bounced back.

Who does sell this product? Who provides the licence keys? Who supports it?  I know there are other XSLT editors, and I use some of them as well, but I like this one. I've paid for it, but not just to run on one PC. If it's no longer sold then can the author just make a free fully functional version available?

Can anyone help?

huntern,

Sorry I can't offer a solution, just more trouble like yours.

I've had the same problem with Xselerator, trying to figure out who to contact to restore my license. I gave up and got a new XML/XSL editor.

Has anyone been able to contact the current owners of Xselerator for help?

So I'm not the only one.... I find it hard to believe that this software is no longer sold or supported. I find it to be a very useful tool in my XML armory What is TOPXML's relationship with the author? If the author no longer wants to sell it or support it please release a fully functional freeware version. Or give me my money back!

I wrote to the author who confirms that due to lack of sales the product was withdrawn and is no longer supported. But he has now, most generously, made a non licence version available for download in sourceforge

http://sourceforge.net/projects/xselerator/

He also informs me that he is hoping to make available an open source version in the near future.

Respect!

huntern,

Thank you for tracking down the author and coaxing him to release Xselerator without charge.   And thank you, generous Xselerator author!

This latest version has some new features that I didn't see in the last one I had.  It's a nice, neat program that I think is so easy to use.

I recommend it to anyone who just needs a handy XSL editor and transformation tool!
