Hi all! I'm working on a project that consumes an external web service and having some trouble mapping my message to the schemas that web service provides. Certain fields on the destination schema are grayed out, but the mapper still connects them to the source fields in the source schema. However, when the message is sent, those fields in the destination schema do not have values. I checked the references in the web service and found several reference XSDs, and I believe the portion I'm trying to map to is actually a referenced element from another XSD. Has anyone experienced anything like this before? I suspect my XML skills are just not up to par, but any advice on this would be GREATLY appreciated! If I'm not making any sense, or can provide more details, please let me know! Thanks!

An update on this one... after adding the code manually into the destination schema to avoid using a reference, I continued to have the same problem (even though the destination fields were no longer grayed out). I switched it back to the one supplied by the web service, ran the BT test on the map, ran the BT validate on the map, and verified all the results were successful. For some reason, it's just not mapping values over before it sends the message out. Anyone have any ideas why this could be, or any experience with this problem? Thanks!

Well, if the map test out ok, standalone, why doesn't it work in the context of the orchestration? Are you sure that values are coming in to be mapped? Have you traced the incoming message which should be mapped? John D.
