Hi,
I have installed Odp.net onto a new machine and i have successfully created a send port but when i try to create a data connection for a receive location using odp.net 10.2.0.200 i get the following error when i try to test the connection
type initializer "Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleConnection" threw an exception.
The only difference between my machine and this target machine is that i have a full oracle client installed.

Hi,
A little more information, I had picked the wrong driver for the send port as it also throws the same exception at the connection test. I should also add that i took the top xml adapter of and reinstalled an earlier version 4.0.5 and i still get the same exception.

It sounds like the clients installation is broken.
Do you have multiple clients installed?

Pieter,
I think you are right, last night i removed the version of ODP.NEt and reinstalled the version i have been developing with and that seemed to sort the issue out.

What version of the Oracle Client did you load?
