Business Objects Programmer/Analyst

A client of A.C.Coy's is seeking a Business Objects Programmer/Analyst to join them on a Temp to Perm basis, at their Burnaby B.C. Corporate location.

Responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating programs for internal functional areas including finance, human resources, and marketing.
Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding, and tests/debugs programs.
Develops conversion and system implementation plans.
Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation.
Recommends changes in development, maintenance, and system standards.
Trains users in conversion and implementation of system.


College degree in a related field
6+ years IT experience, with 4 years of reporting development experience using Business Objects.
Full knowledge of all components of Business Objects 6, including Universe design, security administration, Broadcast Agent and client components
Experience tuning the Broadcast Agent and Infoview Servers
2+ years of Visual Basic programming experience
In-depth knowledge of data warehouse design and architecture
Excellent SQL skills, preferably with Oracle
Unix OS, Windows NT and Windows 2000 knowledge
Data modeling and dimension modeling experience
Microsoft Project, Excel and Access experience

Salary is up to $75000 a year, based on experience.
