Configuration Management Specialist

Duties:

Provide Software Configuration Management and Database Management support to the Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile (SLBM) contract at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). Provide technical CM support and guidance as needed to ensure the integrity and consistency of CM Change Control Boards (CCBs). As a CM Specialist responsibilities are preparing and distributing agenda packages and minutes for each meeting.

Interface with internal CCBs and working groups and interacting with external CCBs as required. Maintain a CM database and CCB documentation (e.g. processes procedures and instructions).

Further duties include: documenting, preparing, maintaining and tracking Software Change Documents; preparing and providing, notifications and information packages; tracking action items; scheduling and coordinating weekly/monthly meetings. Reviews design release documents for completeness, proper approvals and system updates, to ensure correct configuration modifications. Maintain status accounting records. Prepare written test cases for use during testing of all changes, which impact the CM coordinator interface software. Perform audits of CM files and databases. Process and retrieve reports using web-based reporting tool.

Required Qualifications:

Must be eligible to obtain a DoD SECRET Security Clearance.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and two to four years of related Configuration Management experience.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience with Dimensions.
