July 16- Collaboration Triage - “Five areas that will benefit from collaboration technology.”
Join Virgil Carroll from High Monkey Consulting on July 16 to learn how you can evaluate five key areas of your organization that could benefit from collaboration technologies. Virgil will explore the impact of these technologies and take a realistic look at how you can make them work for you. While you may not be in a battlefield emergency (typically associated with triage), this session will help you identify your alternatives and give a priority to the areas of collaboration that would benefit your organization.
• Document Management
• Company Intranet
• Discussion Boards & Wikis
• Project Management
• Workflow
This session is a planning “reality check” for business decision makers, managers, analysts, administrators, and any information worker considering how the current generation of collaboration technologies might impact their organization. While SharePoint (from Microsoft) will be used to illustrate how collaboration technologies work, Virgil will also talk about open source and other technologies that are available in the market.
WEEK3 GOALS:
Week3 takes a business approach to collaboration-related technologies. Our goal is to create a community of business professionals who are technology champions, implementers, and users who want to learn about collaboration technologies. Technical-types are welcome but remember that Week3 is focused on how to make business more productive and collaboration easier. ROI? Yes! Code? No.
Week3 is sponsored by the companies listed below, however, monthly sessions are not “infomercials” or product promotions in disguise. Our goals are to be technologically neutral and to provide grounded real-world information & case studies. We encourage your suggestions and ideas to make sure Week3 sessions meet your need for balanced collaboration technology information.
