I spent most of today implementing modular licence handling in the application I'm working on right now. (I keep referring to this as "the application I'm working on right now" because we're not quite ready for competitors to know that we're out there: we're just going to creep up on them. All will be revealed soon though.) One of the things I really wanted to be able to do was have a customer install an eval licence for a module they were interested in without us having to do any work. The obvious way to do this was via a simple web service.
