Well, I’m off to TechEd today, and driving up with Miguel and Nick. Miguel wanted to get a bunch of the NJ and NYC folks together and drive up in a short yellow bus, but no one wanted to join him (and do you blame us?).
I’ll be staying at the Marriott Copley Plaza most of the week (staying at the Hilton Logan, tonight, Saturday). If you want to catch up with me, you can find me via TechEd Connect, or my MSN IM is don_xml at hotmail.com. During the conference, odds are you will find me at the architect lounge at the Technology Learning Center (TLC). I really want to get into some deep conversations around LINQ and you know I’m also a sucker for a chat about versioning web services, Domain Driven Design, XML, SQL Server, WPF, etc.
Saturday night, I’ll be at the Party with Palermo (pre-Tech Ed party) until all hours of the night. Sunday I’ll be at the MVP Engagement event, and then off to the conf center Sunday night for the Keynote. Wed. night is the Infulencers party (which is always a blast), Thursday night is the confernece party, so I’ve got Monday and Tuesday night still open for an party invites!
Oh, I’ve got a laptop running Vista beta 2, and Office 2007 beta 2 and I love it. I’ll be bring that one, instead of my daily machine (and it is a bit lighter). The only problem with this plan is that when I tried to hit the CommNet site, the page never renders. It is happening in IE7 and Firefox, so I’m sure it isn’t an IE7 thing. And, yes, I can hit the site with my WinXP laptop, so I know it isn’t the site. I’m going to risk it, and figure that they will fix it ASAP (considering Vista is the future of the company).
One of my concerns with a conference in Boston is the potential traffic issues, especially Monday morning (the first morning rush hour commute). Hopefully I am totally wrong, but I’m going to give some extra time for the commute on Monday morning. The weather is going to be chilly for June (highs in the low 70’s), but that is perfect temp for me.
I just can’t wait to hang up with the usual suspects, and add some more to the usual suspects list, and just geek out for the week.
