Marc Hadley, a member of the Web Services Addressing Working Group, poses the following question:

Do EPRs have a life cycle, and if so, how is it managed Should we provide a mechanism to help

The notion of endpoint reference (EPR) life cycles (see WS-Addressing) is an interesting concept. Would timeout/expiry values for EPRs be useful as a refactoring of the WS-* specifications that employ them In a recent blog entry entitled, "WS-Lifecycle", Dave Orchard poses this question while providing a background to time, lifecycle, and garbage collection in distributed computing.
