One of the most promising and useful applications of FI is definitly boosting data communication on mobile devices over wireless networks. FIME is an attempt to enable CLDC users to take advantage of FI in processing and transmitting XML data. Currently FIME is available as a form of source code in the FI CVS repository (. Unlike FISE (Fast Infoset SE), FIME focuses on StAX ME, of which an implementation is in the Apache Mirae project. I have to admit that there`s so much room to improve in FIME. However, I firmly believe that it will help users and developers of Java ME communicate with advantage from speedy and scalable XML.
