HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Dec. 2, 2004 -- Intergraph Mapping and Geospatial Solutions Netherlands successfully participated in the third GML Relay at the "Standards in Action" event held at the Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. The event demonstrates the easy, open exchange of spatial data using the Open Geospatial Consortium`s (OGC) Geographic Markup Language (GML) standard. The GML standard is an XML encoding for spatial data and related attributes used for storing and transporting geospatial information.
At the GML Relay, Intergraph joined a record number of attendees including other geospatial vendors; attendees from leading Dutch Universities; national and regional government departments; the Dutch Department of Spatial Structure and Environment; and various private companies active in the geospatial industry.
