Overview
The
XMLEntity class represents entity declarations within an XML document. For more
information about entity declarations, see the XML specification at http://www.w3.org.
Example (VB.NET): How
to retrieve and display information about entity declarations in an XML
document using the XMLEntity class.
The example below uses the Count property of
DocumentType.Entities to represent the list of entities within an XML document.
It then assigns each found entity to an XMLEntity object. The XMLEntity.Name, XMLEntity.InnerXml,
XMLEntity.OwnerDocument, XMLEntity.SystemId, and XMLEntity.PublicId properties
are displayed.
Dim objDocument As New System.Xml.XmlDocument
Dim objEntity As System.Xml.XmlEntity
Dim strValues As String
Dim x As Integer
objDocument.Load("c:\doc_with_entities.xml")
If objDocument.DocumentType.Entities.Count > 0 Then
For x = 0 To objDocument.DocumentType.Entities.Count -
