Overview
The XmlNamespaceManager class uses a NameTable to provide a
series of adminstration features for namespaces. It supplies a collection to
which namespaces can be added or removed. It allows for namespaces to be
resolved and for their scope to be set.
Example (VB.NET): How
to add a namespace to the XmlNamespaceManager NameTable, using the
XmlNamespaceManager.AddNamespace method.
In this example we first load an XML document in order to
populate the XmlDocument object. We then create a new XmlNamespaceManager
object and associated with the XmlDocument's NameTable. Next we add a
namespace, using the XmlNamespaceManager.AddNamespace method. Finally, we
retrieve the namespace values stored in the NameTable. Note that we did not
have to explicitly add the xml and xmlns namespaces, as they are already there
by default.
Dim objDocument As New System.Xml.XmlDocument
Dim objXmlNamespaceManager As System.Xml.XmlNamespaceManager
Dim strValues As String
objDocument.Load("c:\sample.xml")
objXmlNamespaceManager = New
System.Xml.XmlNamespaceManager(objDocument.NameTable)
