Overview
This class represents a node with significant white space
content. As with the XmlWhitespace class, this class is derived from
System.Xml.XmlCharacterData parent class.
Example (VB.NET): How to insert a
line break using the XMLDocument.CreateSignificantWhitespace method and the
XmlSignificantWhitespace class.
In this example we simply insert a line feed character
after the first child element of the XML document that is loaded into memory. The
character is the value assigned to the XmlSignificantWhitespace object, which
is created using the XMLDocument.CreateSignificantWhitespace method.
Dim objDocument As New System.Xml.XmlDocument
Dim objXmlNode As System.Xml.XmlNode
Dim objElement As
System.Xml.XmlElement
Dim objXmlSignificantWhitespace As System.Xml.XmlSignificantWhitespace
Dim x As Integer
objDocument.LoadXml("<parentElement1><childElement1>Test
Value 1</childElement1><childElement2>Test Value
2</childElement2><childElement3>Test Value
3</childElement3></parentElement1>")
