Overview
The XmlWhitespace class simply represents the white space
within a given XML element. This class is useful for when you need to
programmatically manipulate white space characters within XML documents. This
class is one of the possible System.Xml.XmlCharacterData implementations.
Example (VB.NET):
How to use the XMLDocument.CreateWhitespace method to create an XMLWhitespace
object, and how to insert this object into an XML document.
In the sample below, we use an XMLWhitespace object to hold
the carriage return/line feed character value, generated through the use of the
XMLDocumentCreateWhitespace method. We then use the XMLNodeList object to hold
the return value of the XMLDocument.GetElements methods. We finally navigate
through this collection of elements to insert the XMLWhitespace value after the
first node.
