The <menu> Tag (XHTML Reference)
Introduction
This is again on of the tags, which in my view really are
bad titled. A menu is for me something at the top of an application, which
scrolls down when the user clicks on it, and it displays some sub menus. I am
sure that you know that I mean. However the <menu> tag does not create
such a menu for you, instead it is basically a list like the <ul> or
<dir> tag. Visually there isn’t any difference between them. And if you
take a look at the structure then you will recognize that there isn’t also any
difference.
