The <title> Tag (XHTML Reference)
Introduction
The <title> simply defines the current title for the
page. This can contain for example the company name or you can set the title of
the article. The title is shown in the browser in the top left corner of the
window above the menu. Usually this tag is inserted in the <head> tag.
The following example shows the usage of the title tag. The screenshot in the
ouput paragraph shows the title. I have marked the title area with a red color.
