setAttributeNode()
Is a member of:
XML DOM Element
Syntax
set objXMLDOMAttribute = objXMLDOMElement.setAttribute-
Node(objXMLDOMAttribute)
Remark
As we mentioned, this is one of the methods used to add or
manipulate an attribute. As with the setAttribute() method, you
can only use this method with the XMLDOMElement interface. However,
instead of passing a string, you need to pass an
XMLDOMAttribute
object when adding the attribute to the element. This attribute Node is
added to the element after using the createAttribute() method to
create the attribute.
Example
By modifying the example for the setAttribute() method, we
will show how the setAttributeNode() method differs from the
setAttribute() method:
Dim objPerson As IXMLDOMElement
Dim objAttrib As IXMLDOMAttribute
Set objPerson =
m_objDOMPeople.createElement("PERSON")
Set objAttrib =
m_objDOMPeople.createAttribute("PERSONID")
¬ Add this new element with its attribute to the
DOMDocument.
