XSLT Tutorial

XSLT Elements: xsl:value-of

xsl:value-of

  • The xsl:value-of instruction is one of the ways of writing the value of text to the output
  • So far we have seen that the xsl:apply-templates also outputs the text, except that it continues to evaluate the node-set of the element in context (unless differently specified).  The xsl: value-of instruction only outputs the node in context.
  • Other ways to output text:
      - writing the text in the stylesheet : <p> Here is text </p>
      - <xsl:copy>
      - <xsl:copy-of>
